Mr. Jingles goes totally Hollywood

Hi,

As you can see on my profile, there I am on Sunset Blvd. with the Hollywood sign behind me.

I was just amazed that no one really recognized me, They were probably distracted by Zorro, and the Hulk and Freddie K who were all wondering around on the street in front of Graumans Chinese Theatre.

Here I am at the O Hotel downtown Los Angeles it had a very cool lobby but everything was really dark except for the elevator, It had red lights and when you were in it you felt like you were in a terrarium under red heat lamps. The desk clerk said she has been in a couple of tv shows and was excited about being in an acting class with George Hamilton's son and her teacher had just recommended her for an audition. I didn't get any offers like that!

That's me sitting on top of Keegan's head when we went to the Aquarium of the Pacific.

Saw some shark embryos that were due to Hatch in April, and some interesting sea creatures I had never seen before, Keegan wanted to show what a small bite I would be for a shark, so he put me in this skeleton.

Travels to Tucson

Hi,

Last Thursday morning in the wee hours Amy and I left for Tucson. We will be back on the 14th and I will tell you about our trip after that, along with some photos....

Sorry it has taken me so long to write about my vacation in Tucson, Amy has been very disorganized and has taken a long time to get me some pictures and have time that we could get together and talk about it and make this blog entry!
Well our vacation started out very early, we left from her sister’s house at 3:30 am, after going to taking a little mouse nap (only an hour)! Lucky for Amy I was the best navigator she had ever had, we got to the airport without any problems! And being the nervous person Amy is we got there in plenty of time!!

Our flight left Minneapolis and went to Denver where we had about a 30 minute layover and then from Denver to Tucson. We were both exhausted by the time we got there, but it was no time to be tired, for the fun was just about to begin! Amy’s friends Kasey, Katy, and Courtney picked us up from the airport and we all went back to Kasey’s where we were staying for the week (here is a picture of where I slept), and got settled in a bit. It was slightly over cast upon our arrival, but we didn’t let that stop us from taking advantage of the pool area at Kasey’s apartment complex! You could tell we were from Minnesota because we were the only ones laying out in these 65 degree cloudy conditions!

The majority of the first few days there were not the sunny and 90 degree conditions we were hoping for; actually there were a couple chilly days. So the girls played a lot of cards, I was usually a spectator; cards are hard for me to handle with my tiny paws. But let me tell you these girls are competitive, I thought there was going to be some violence a few different times, especially when they were playing hand and foot. Kasey and Amy won most of the games, which made Courtney and Katy very unhappy.
Multiple times on our trip we also went to the hotel that the softball team was staying at to see Kelsey. When we went on the cool days or in the evening the girls would play cards once again (here is Kasey and Katy playing skip-bo) or just chat, and let me tell you they are weird, people were starring. But one afternoon we went to their hotel and it was probably the nicest day we had there, and so we swam, played Frisbee, and tanned (here is the picture I took of Amy Kelsey, Courtney, and Katy enjoying the pool)! Do worry you lifestyle coaches out there I wore a lot of sun screen (SPF 75) I have a very pale complexion.

Swimming, tanning, and playing cards probably sounds like the only things we did while in Tucson. But there were other things! We hit up the down town one night, actually this was the first night we arrived, and boy were Amy and I tired when we finally got back to Kasey’s at 3:30am. We got the opportunity to meet some of Kasey, Katy, and Kelsey’s family members that are from Tucson. We even got invited to a Birthday Bar-b-que! Amy and I went to watch the Bethany Softball team play a couple games one afternoon, they didn’t win but they played well both games. With that visit we got to chat with team members, the coach, as well as some of the parents that were there, it was an all around good time! One morning we went hiking, we attempted to hike Sabino Canyon, but we didn’t quite make it, my legs just couldn’t take me any farther (here is a picture of where we hiked). It was very pretty there! Sunday we went to church and out to lunch with family. We went out for sushi one night as well, it was a different experience, but I think we all would do it again!

Well that basically sums up our vacation to Tucson! It was all a vacation should be, relaxing and cheap!
